Bharat Paryatan - Ode to India's classical and folk dance traditions
India is a land of diverse cultures and traditions. Each region of the country has a unique culture, which is also prominently visible in its various art forms. Come travel with us on this incredible journey that brings together an eclectic mix of Indian classical and folk dance performances!
India is a pluralistic, multilingual and multiethnic society. In this cultural odyssey, let us bask in its vast musical heritage, relive moments of glory and soak up the cultural ethos of a great civilization. Bharat Paryatan brings together an eclectic mix of classical and folk performances.
Classical dances are deeply religious in content but their distinct music, colour and pure technicality make them a world part. Practitioners spend years perfecting nuances of these dance forms. You can witness – Kathak, Kuchupudi, Bhrathanatyam, Odissi, Mohiniattam and more!
Folk dance - Performed on almost every special occasion and festival, to express elation and joy. Every folk dance has its own specific costume and jewelry. It is an asset of India's cultural heritage. Punjab-Bangra, Gujrat-Dandiya, Maharashtra-Tamasha, Tamil Nadu-Karagattam, Nagaland – Cheraw, Karnataka – Kamsale and many more
