The SIGMOD organizers have extended the early-bird registration deadline to April 20 to help participants plan their attendance amid the ongoing external uncertainties.
Important Visa-related Note for International Delegates
- Visa requirements: We wish to bring to your attention that all foreign nationals entering India are required to possess a valid international travel document in the form of a national passport with a valid visa/eVisa from the Indian government. An e-Visa is the recommended mode of application if your country of origin falls in the list of eligible countries, and can be done completely online. Visa-related information is available at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/ .
- When: You can apply for an Indian visa up to 120 days prior to your visit. We recommend you do so at the earliest after you have all the required documents.
- Conference Visa: In particular, we strongly advise international delegates who intend applying for a Conference Visa, to register at the earliest. Early registration is important because for this visa category, a prior approval needs to be obtained from the Indian government – the approval has to be attached to your conference visa application. The conference organizers will submit registrant details, taken from the registration form, on a periodic basis in bulk to the authorities and request approval. But we reiterate that early registration is highly recommended since there can be considerable processing delays in some cases.
- Please note that it remains the sole responsibility of the attendee to apply for, complete, and secure the appropriate visa. Any approvals facilitated by the organizers do not guarantee the issuance of a visa; they are intended solely to support the Conference Visa application by enabling the required documentation.
Domestic and International Registration
To ensure correct fee payment and compliance with local regulations, delegates must select the appropriate registration category as defined below.
- Domestic Registrants: Delegates who are currently residing in India, and who will be making payment through an Indian bank account in Indian Rupees (₹).
- International Registrants: Any delegate who does not fall into the Domestic Registrant category. The registration fee payment will be in US Dollars (USD).

Cancellation Policy
In case of registration cancellation within March 31, 2026 , a full refund minus administrative processing charges will be given.
For any cancellations received between April 1, 2026 and April 30, 2026, a cancellation fee of 50% will be levied in addition to the administrative processing charges.
No refund will be given for any cancellations made after April 30, 2026.
If an international registration has to be cancelled due to non-receipt of travel-related approvals from the Indian government, despite having made documented efforts within April 15, 2026, a full refund will be provided.
